PREVIOUS TRAINING FEEDBACK

This course will introduce participants to the various message formats (e.g. Delimited Text, EDI/X12, XML, JSON, HL7, CCD, FHIR) and connectivity methods (e.g. IP Addressing, Secure FTP, VPN, MLLP) used to transfer healthcare data today and the pros and cons of each.  On Day 2, students will observe as an integration engine (NextGen Connect / Mirth Connect) is installed, a new HL7 interface is created, then messages are sent, transformed, and received using third-party API software (Postman). Students will be given the opportunity to install the engine on their own laptops and to ask questions specific to their own environments
