Training Objectives

Participants completing this course should be able to:

  • Outline a framework for design thinking and identify the right kind of opportunity to apply design thinking.
  • Understand how to diagnose where in the design process they are and what steps to take next.
  • Understand the basics of empathy research, ideation and prototyping Apply the principles of empathy research, ideation and prototyping to a real-world challenge and present solutions to a challenge.
  • Analyze why recommended solutions are good ideas and evaluate the key assumptions behind the attractiveness of the idea.
  • Design a compelling pitch presentation to summarize key learnings.
  • Apply and extend the principles of design thinking beyond the module to a personal project
