Case Study

Medical Billing & Coding Training for AITS (Allied Information and Technology Soft), Cairo, Egypt, Nov 2007 to Feb 2008

Allied Soft of Cairo, Egypt wanted their staff of 40 people to get trained in medical billing and coding areas to enable them to handle professional medical billing data independently generated out of USA. It was a big task. ACS took it and delivered it entirely to the satisfaction of Allied Soft.

The training  covered following aspects:

  • Medical Coding
  • Eligibility Verification
  • Demographics and Insurance Entry
  • Charge Posting
  • Claims Submission (both Electronic and Paper)
  • Payment Posting
  • Collections & Follow up
  • Patient Bills
  • Reports Analysis, etc.

ACS provided training keeping in view the standards set in for professional medical billing by CMS (Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services).

ACS covered both theoretical and practical work (using medical billing/practice management software).

ACS deputed one executive level master trainer who stayed for three month and one full-fledged experienced biller for five months to help trainees give hands on practice on billing software and prepare them to handle live work.

ACS was also to provide online technical and billing support to AS until the time AS needed it. ACS was to provide this support for free for the first six months.  Any support after six months was to be provided based on mutual agreement whether per provider or %age of billing revenue.

Allied Soft could also use ACS’s proprietary billing/practice management software on discounted rates, the rates of which were mutually to  be decided.
